Core Values Statement
The following statements present the Core Values of Corticelli Baptist Church.
These are the ideals & commitments that do or should drive our church.
Godly Leadership
We understand that God has positioned people in places of service to accomplish His work and we affirm the biblical standards for and the integrity of each person who fills those positions.
1 Timothy 3:1-10; Acts 6:1-3
Bible Centered Teaching/ Discipleship
We affirm that the Scripture is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. The Scriptures will be taught with truth and authority – to equip Christians for daily living and to offer salvation to all that seek Him.
Ephesians 4:11-16, Titus 2:2-8
Lordship of Christ
We believe that Christ is the Cornerstone of the church. We will submit ourselves and all that we do to His perfect will and authority.
Ephesians 1:22,23
Prayer
We believe God desires for His people to pray and develop an intimate, personal relationship with Him. From conception, planning, and execution, every ministry and activity of our church will be bathed in passionate prayer.
Matthew 7:7-8
Great Commission/ Community Service/ Evangelism
We believe that unchurched, lost people matter to God. We will empower kingdom-minded Great Commission Christians to go with boldness and compassion to share the gospel of Christ with our world.
Matthew 28:18-20
Family
We recognize the need of every adult and child who represent the family units of our church family and commit to meet the needs of each one. We believe that God, our heavenly Father, desires familial relationships that develop unity and harmony within the body of Christ.
2 Timothy 1:5
Worship
We believe in the importance of personal and corporate worship – to praise and glorify the Lord. We desire to purposefully engage people in authentic, God-centered worship. We desire to exalt God through our words and actions as we conduct ourselves in every aspect of our behavior.
Romans 12:1,2
Fellowship/ Team Work
We believe that God desires teamwork within the church, both locally and globally, in cooperating together to determine and accomplish God’s will through and for our church.
Acts 2:42-47
Giving
We believe that we, both personally & corporately, are to regularly give God the first and best of what we have been given. We will teach that stewardship is the proper management of all God has given us to expand His kingdom – time, talent and finances.
2 Corinthians 9: 7-8
