Corticelli Baptist Church Vision Statement
Simply Put:
We see a Growing number of people,
Growing closer to God &
Growing in their influence for Christ.
We know God’s desire is for His Church to grow.
We see Corticelli; in the next 5-10 years, as a growing church.
Acts 2:40-47; 4:32-37; 5:42; 9:31; 14: 27, 28
Growing Significantly
The early church in the book of Acts grew & spread dynamically. We don’t know the extent of our growth but believe God wants our church to grow practically & significantly
- Through Family
We see our people building up our individual families & church family to produce marriages that last as God intended & children that continue to follow Christ throughout their youth & adulthood.
- Through Ministry
We see our people ministering in our ministry field, in & outside of our building, on & off our property, using their spiritual gifts, interests & talents to encourage & help people spiritually, emotionally & physically.
- Through Missions
We see our people involved in mission trips, mission partnerships & church starts in or outside of our state or country. Our excitement for spreading the gospel to all nations will be contagious for the community around us.
Growing Spiritually
The early church experienced a personal & dynamic relationship with Christ through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
- Through Prayer
We see our people praying constantly & responsibly with one another & for one another. Through this daily communication with our Father we will have a deeper desire to follow the commands of Jesus.
- Through Discipleship
We see our people learning & living biblical & life changing truths & becoming more spiritually mature followers of Christ.
- Through Worship
We see our people exalting our Lord Jesus through their voices & a Christ like life style.
- Through Small Groups
We see our people coming together at different times & places to fellowship & study together relevant & meaningful bible study materials.
- Through Special Events
We see our people involved in special church, local, regional & state events that inspire, inform or engage.
Growing Structurally
The early church adapted & changed how they did things as it grew to meet the needs of the people. Examples: Deacon ministry to minister to neglected widows, the qualifications of church leadership & the Commission of missionaries Paul & Barnabas to spread the gospel.
- Through Organization
We see our church leadership, procedures & practices precisely & intentionally developed & utilized.
- Through Staff
We see our staff developed & expanded to include part or full time positions for youth and/or children, worship or evangelism.
- Through Facilities
We see our facilities enlarged, restructured or remodeled to best accommodate our ministries & activities.
